Feature: Shelter of the Faithful – Elysia can always find shelter in temples dedicated to her deity, a resource that can be vital in adventures.
Step 2: Ability Scores
Ability scores are the foundation of any character's strengths in D&D. I used the Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, and 8) to build a strong character profile.
Strength: 10
Dexterity: 8
Constitution: 14 (+1 from being Human) = 15
Intelligence: 12
Wisdom: 15 (+1 from being Human) = 16
Charisma: 13 (+1 from being Human) = 14
With a remarkable Wisdom score of 16, Elysia excels in healing and spellcasting, significantly impacting party survival during battles.
Step 3: Proficiencies and Equipment
Next, I focused on Elysia's proficiencies and starting gear. As a Cleric, she is proficient with light and medium armor, shields, and simple weapons.
For skills, I chose:
Religion: Insight into divine lore and rituals.
Medicine: An essential skill for treating wounds and diseases.
In terms of equipment, Clerics can choose between various weapons and armors. I opted for:
A mace for melee combat effectiveness.
A shield for enhanced protection.
Chain mail, providing solid armor while maintaining mobility.

Choosing spells and defining Elysia's Divine Domain were key choices. I decided on the Life Domain, which focuses on supportive magic and healing.
Notable Spells for Elysia:
Cure Wounds: One of the most important spells for healing an ally in need.
Bless: Increases the chance of success for allies, giving them an edge in tough encounters.
Shield of Faith: Raises a target's Armor Class, helping them avoid damage in battle.
These spells emphasize Elysia's vital role as a support character, enhancing her teammates during intense situations.
Step 5: Character Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws
To add depth to Elysia, I reflected on her personal traits, ideals, bonds, and flaws. Defining these traits brings characters to life and enhances role-playing.
Traits: "I see omens in every event and action."
Ideals: "Respect: All people deserve respect, regardless of status."
Bonds: "I will protect the temple where I served at all costs."
Flaws: "I am haunted by my past failures in the temple."
These attributes will shape my interactions with the world and encourage persistent character development.
Crafting the Character Sheet
Having filled in all vital details, it was time to create the character sheet itself. I aim for visually appealing designs that make it easy to find information during gameplay.
